Handmade Indian Rugs

Indian hand woven rug weaving is a tradition dating back to the 16th century, showing influences of Persian rug making. The Indian weavers added their own elements, with rich colours and a unique weaving style. The Indo-Persian rugs were most notably colourful and developed with floral and animal designs.
