It's a beautiful sunny day and you're sitting by the pool on your recliner chair watching your kids play. Luckily you've brought the outdoor rug for them to sit on or their knees would be more grazed than they already are, as kids and concrete aren't always the best mix!

That's just one scenario where outdoor rugs can care for you, but how do you care for your outdoor rug?

It's a little different to caring for an indoor rug, but there are a few main differences that need to be considered. Let's take a look!

Cleaning

Shake it

Give the rug a shake to remove any dirt that's made a home between the fibers of the rug.

Wet it

Since you're already outdoors, this is pretty easy. If you're by the pool area, it's even easier! If there are any stains or sticky materials on the rug, you can rub it out with some water or soapy water. You can even give these types of rugs the hose if you like. Rinse off the soapy water and then..

Dry it

It's best to get both sides off of the ground for this one. Not too hard, just drape the rug over the side of something. The fibers for this type of rug are usually pretty fast to dry, and it could even be dry by the time you've packed your other things up and ready to go back inside.

Pretty easy right? It's worth going through, as many are unsure on what they can and can't do with an outdoor rug.
